A club for the older children offering a fun programme for children up to 11 years of age.

Children who attend the Beehive Club before and after school may bring their breakfast in with them to eat with their friends. We will provide milk, bowls and cutlery etc. They can then use a wide variety of games and activities in the classroom until the Busy Bees buses take the children to their designated school. We offer transport to and from the following schools:-

Beck Row Primary School
St Mary's Primary School
West Row Primary School

When the children are collected from school and arrive back at the Beehive Club they may have their snack which they bring in (we will provide their drink). Please note that we no longer provide snacks for the children after school. Could you please ensure that your provide a healthy snack for your child if they come back to Busy Bees after school during term time. We will continue to provide drinks for the children which will be either milk or water. If your child attends during the half term, please ensure you provide a morning and afternoon healthy snack plus their lunch. They will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities such as:-

Swimming Lessons
Rural studies on the farm
Cookery
A wide range of games plus lots more

Arts and crafts
Outdoor play
Computers
Each week there will be a schedule of the activities the school children will be participating in on the Beehive Club notice board.
During the school holidays the children will also have the opportunity to participate in the activities mentioned above, plus there will be:-

Trips out
Puppet /mask making
Games/puzzles
Jewellery making
Remote control boats on the sailing pool
Visitors in, such as story tellers/falconer etc plus lots more.

Woodwork
Trampolining
Kite flying
Clay modelling/plasticine
Sports activities on the football field

Fees
The fees for the Beehive Club are the same as the nursery fees.

Learn about the organic way of life

am - Groom the ponies plus farm studies

pm - Picnic and fun at Mildenhall Adventure Forest

Put the finishing touches to the scarecrows

Build camps and have a picnic in Thetford Forest

Sports day (parents are invited to watch and join in for a picnic)

Farm studies - planting, weeding and watering

Make polymere clay models

Animal balloon modelling + make animals from other modelling materials

Week 4 - Monday 16th August

10.30am to 11.30am - Swimming lessons - optional (£4.50)

Throughout the week the children can each make a puppet

Make fruit smoothies

Wednesday 18th August

Bowling and lunch at Planet Zoom (cost to be announced)

Thursday 19th August

The children will put on a puppet show for each other

Friday 20th August

am - cookery (childrens choice)

pm - Mr Gary will come in for Bible stories, songs, arts and crafts

Week 5 - Monday 23rd August

Picnic and fun at Mildenhall Adventure Forest

Tie dying T-Shirts

French Boules contest

Wednesday 25th August

Play area at Planet Zoom followed by a picnic (cost to be announced)

Thursday 26th August

The children will make decorations and food for their beach party

Friday 27th August

am - Fun at Mildenhall Adventure Forest

pm - Beach party / face painting

Week 6 - Monday 30th August

The children can make treasure maps then go on a Tresure Hunt on Beck Row Heath

Tuesday 31st August

am - Fun and picnic at Mildenhall Adventure Forest

pm - Cookery (childrens choice)

Wednesday 1st September

Photography and picnic in Thetford Forest

Thursday 2nd September

Back to school

As well as the planned activities mentioned above there will also be a wide

variety of other activities available at all times which will include:-

clay modelling - junk modelling - making and exploring musical instruments -

jewellery making - woodwork - board games - karaoke - wii games - computers -

DVD's - a wide variety of arts and crafts - books - magazines - crosswords -

word searches - quizzes - use of our extensive outdoor play equipment -

trampolining - learn to knit, sew weave and felt - learn about natural dyes and

the organic way of life.

With ALL activities, the children will choose the activities they wish to participate in. Sign up and

permission forms will be given out once we have received your child's booking in form.
